What Does This System Do?
Your phone automatically records every step you take on the pilgrimage.
Distance walked, check-in count—the system calculates everything via GPS, and even estimates carbon emissions saved. You don't manually report transportation; the system auto-classifies based on speed: "zero emission" (walking/biking under 15 km/h) or "vehicle use" for carbon calculations.
The more you walk and check in, the higher your level. At the end, you'll get a personalized "pilgrimage achievement card" to share with friends.
Achievement cards have three conditions:
- At least 3 check-ins
- Complete survey
- Provide phone number
You don't have to walk the entire route; reach the targets and you get a card reflecting your actual participation level.
The achievement card is also proof of participation—you can redeem gifts from partner stores or enter raffles with it and your route map.
1Step 1: Scan QR Code, Login with LINE
Two ways to enter:
Method 1: Scan QR Code (Easiest)
QR code posters at the event. Point your camera and tap—it opens automatically.
Method 2: Enter via LINE
- Open LINE
- Search for friend "@539fkwjd" and add
- Tap the link in the menu
The system will ask you to login with LINE. Tap the button and follow the prompts.
After login, the system knows who you are. Switch phones or reopen—your data stays.
2Step 2: Agree to Privacy Policy
After LINE login, the system shows a "Privacy Policy" page explaining what data we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.
Main data collected: LINE account, GPS trajectory, survey responses. Phone number and photo coordinates are optional.
Photos aren't uploaded to the server; we only read their GPS coordinates.
Read it carefully and tap "I Agree" to continue. If you don't agree, you can't use check-in and tracking features.
You can withdraw consent anytime—tap "Complete Pilgrimage" to stop data collection, or email to request data deletion.
3Step 3: Fill Survey (First Time Only)
First time opens a survey. Complete it before you can check in.
Survey shows one question per card with a progress bar. Four sections:
Goodwill & Inspiration (Q1–Q2)
- Which goodwill activities did you participate in? (Multiple choice)
- What impressed or moved you during the pilgrimage? (Multiple choice)
Transport & Eco Actions (Q3–Q6)
- Main transport to the event? (Single choice)
- Which eco-friendly actions did you take? (Multiple choice)
- Did you stay overnight? (Single choice)
- Dining style? (Single choice)
Basic Info (Q7–Q9)
- Your participation role (organizer / participant)
- Upload photo (system reads GPS coordinates only, photo is not uploaded)
- Phone number (Optional, for raffle notifications)
Confirm & Submit (Q10)
Don't worry—mostly multiple choice. Just tap to answer.
4Step 4: Start Check-in
After survey, you're in check-in mode.
Your phone will ask: "Allow access to location?"
Tap "Allow." This is the most important step!
The system then auto-records your route and distance. A green dot blinks at the top—it's locating.
To manually check-in, tap the "Check-in 📍" button. Each check-in calculates distance from the last one.
You can also photo check-in—take or select a photo, the system reads its GPS and records it as a route point. Photos only send coordinates, never uploaded. You can save photos to your gallery too.
You don't need to keep the screen on while walking, but don't close the browser. If you accidentally do, reopen it—your data is still there.
5Step 5: Check Your Achievement
Level System
9 levels based on kilometers walked and blessings (check-ins). Each level has a unique pink-headscarf pilgrim mascot:
Max 7 blessings/day for fastest leveling, but 5+ daily keeps you on pace. Notifications when you level up.
Personal Pilgrimage Footprint Page
Your page shows:
- Current level and mascot
- Check-in count, walk distance, carbon footprint and carbon saved
- Zero-emission vs. vehicle-use kilometers
- Your route map (Leaflet map + path lines)
- Distance to next level
6Step 6: Share with Friends
After hitting three conditions (3+ check-ins + completed survey + phone number), system generates your achievement card with:
- Your level mascot
- Kilometers and check-in count
- Carbon footprint and carbon saved
- Your route map
- NET-ZERO badge
The achievement card is proof of participation. Merchants can verify your status through your page, and eligible pilgrims can redeem gifts or enter raffles.
How to share? Tap "📤 Share" button—your phone shows share options (LINE, Facebook, copy link, etc.).
When sharing to Facebook, the preview auto-shows personalized info—your level name, kilometers walked, check-in count. Friends instantly see your progress. System auto-prepares your personalized preview in the background after 2+ check-ins.
Pause and Complete Pilgrimage
Not everyone walks the full route. You might go two days then return, come back weekends, or rejoin for the final procession—the system supports it.
Temporarily Leave
Tap "Pause" button. Pushes pause, GPS stops, no more notifications. Reopen the tracker anytime to resume. Tracking auto-restarts, old data continues accumulating, levels keep counting.
Complete Pilgrimage
If you're done, tap "Complete Pilgrimage." System generates a final achievement card locked at your current level and data. Your page stays forever—revisit anytime to see your record.
If you don't tap anything, the system auto-settles everyone when the activity ends.
No matter how far—every step counts.
LINE Bot Assistant
After adding friend "@539fkwjd", the bot sends a welcome message with function buttons.
You can also message directly:
- Send "Check-in" → opens check-in page
- Send "Survey" → opens survey
- Send "Leaderboard" → view rankings
- Send "Help" → get user guide
The bottom Rich Menu has common shortcuts—just tap.
During the activity, the bot pushes progress updates and reminders to your LINE.
FAQs
Do I need a password?
No. Pilgrims just sign in with LINE — no password needed.
I don't see a green blinking dot on my phone?
You may have denied location access. Close the page, reopen it, and tap "Allow" this time.
Will my records disappear if I close my phone?
No. All your data is saved on the server. When you reopen the page, it picks up where you left off.
Will my photos be uploaded?
No. The system only reads GPS coordinates from the photo metadata. The photo itself stays on your phone.
I've walked a lot but my rank hasn't gone up?
Ranking requires both distance and check-ins. Make sure to tap "Check in" regularly along the way.
Do I need to complete the entire survey?
Yes, Q1-Q7 are required. Q8 (photo) and Q9 (phone) are optional. Completing the survey is one of the conditions to unlock your achievement card.
How is my carbon footprint calculated?
The system classifies your movement into two categories based on speed: slow (walking, cycling) = zero emission; fast (transit) = estimated using the public transit CO₂ factor.
What does "carbon saved" mean?
It's the CO₂ that would have been emitted if you had taken motorized transit for the same distance. The system shows how much your feet saved.
What if I don't have a smartphone?
You can share a phone with a friend, or ask an on-site volunteer for help.
Can I change my survey answers?
The survey is final once submitted and cannot be changed.
