Three years ago, ChatGPT didn’t exist yet, and people were still debating when AI would become useful.
Three years from now, those debates will seem laughable. AI won’t be future tense—“AI will change the world”—but present tense—“AI is changing the world, happening right now.”
At this turning point, what I want to discuss isn’t AI’s capabilities, but how we should approach it.

When AI becomes everyday, it will make more decisions.
For instance, banks use AI to decide your loan amount. Hospitals use AI to decide your treatment plan. Police use AI to decide who’s more likely to commit crimes. Companies use AI to decide who should be hired.
In all these situations, people want to know: why? Why was my loan rejected? Why was this treatment plan recommended? Why was I classified as high-risk?
AI cannot fully answer this question.
Deep learning models are inherently black boxes. They can tell you “this is my answer,” but cannot fully explain “why.”
But human decision-makers can. A banker can say: “Your credit score is insufficient, your income is unstable.” A doctor can say: “Based on your medical history and these test results, I recommend this treatment.”
So we have a paradox: AI is trusted because it can process big data, but it cannot explain its decisions. Human decisions might be more questionable, but at least they’re transparent.
In 2027, we need to answer: in this paradox, what are we willing to sacrifice?

So when AI becomes everyday, power will concentrate in the hands of those who control AI.
Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft will know everything about you. Not because they want to control you, but because AI needs big data.
And if AI makes decisions, then these companies that control AI hold the power of decision-making.
In 2027, the consequences of this power concentration will become apparent. There might be new laws to limit AI, there might be new social movements to oppose AI monopoly, or people might become accustomed to this power structure.
But regardless, this is an issue that must be faced in 2027.
4. The Meaning of Humanity
Finally, the deepest question: if AI makes decisions, what purpose do humans serve?
If AI can write code, design, diagnose, even judge, what value can humans still provide?
This isn’t a technical problem, but a philosophical one.
One possible answer is: human value lies in value judgment. AI can optimize, but cannot decide what to optimize. AI can solve problems, but cannot decide what constitutes a problem.
In the world of 2027, people need to redefine their role—not as labor force, but as decision-makers, value-setters.
But this requires changes in education, culture, even social structures. And these changes are more difficult than any technological advancement.
